While City Fruit is a fairly small organization, we have a mighty village of dedicated supporters who make our work possible. The foundation of that village is our board. Our board members are deeply passionate about our mission, and are always ready to offer their steadfast support to our small team. Their unwavering dedication to our organization was more evident than ever this year, when they stepped up their support in a big way and led our spring fundraising campaign and Celebrates planning this fall.
We are so grateful for our board, and, are excited to welcome the newest member, Leslie!
Leslie is originally from Austin, Texas, and is now enjoying the cooler climate and higher-altitude adventures in Seattle. She has over 10 years of experience creating and executing strategic initiatives for corporate, non-profit, and government organizations overseas, including in Africa, Asia, and Central America, as well as in the US. Just like many people who are drawn to City Fruit’s work, Leslie is passionate about local food justice issues, and she is eager to apply her non-profit management and social enterprise experience to expand City Fruit’s impact in the community. Leslie joined the City Fruit board just recently, but she’s already jumped in to volunteer for Celebrates, helping with cider pickup and preparing a special thank you gift for our trivia host!
