Employment & Career

City Fruit is a 501 c[3] non-profit gleaning organization founded with the mission of putting our urban orchards to its best and fullest use so that everyone in our community shares in the value of fruit.  City Fruit’s goals are centered on three central themes:

(1) Connecting people to the public orchards in their community and educating about their history and value

(2) Organizing a holistic harvest and distribution process that keeps fruit within the communities where they were grown

(3) Engaging in a collaborative process with community stakeholders to find the best practices for the long-term care and maintenance of the trees in this unique urban network of orchards

We are not currently hiring for positions within the organization at this time, but we’d love to hear from you!  For general inquiries or inquiries about internship opportunities please contact info@cityfruit.org.  To join the City Fruit community as a volunteer, contact volunteer@cityfruit.org.

City Fruit is committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment.  This includes engaging staff, board members, interns, and volunteers in conversations about institutional racism and how our work can be aligned to resist and disrupt practices rooted in white supremacy and racism.  We value and welcome the diverse array of lived-experiences, perspectives, values, and identities that individuals carry with them.
